Sadie Dunn
Soprano 1
Sadie has been singing in choir for as long as she can remember and has been singing with SONUS since 2017. Sadie received her Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance, and have since used that to serve a vocal coach and music director at local theaters, as well as sing in various choirs around Nashville. For now, SONUS is her primary musical outlet. Sadie is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Speech-Language-Pathology at Vanderbilt University and that keeps her pretty busy!
Molly Hansen
Soprano 1
Molly has always loved singing, especially in harmony, so she was thrilled to join Sonus when moving to Nashville in 2022. Molly is a singer-songwriter as well as a tour guide at a local Distillery, spends her free time as an avid birdwatcher, and lives in Nashville with her boyfriend, Jake, and their two cats, Doris and Gertrude.
Natalie Royal Herb
Soprano | Section Leader
Natalie is a 2013 graduate of Belmont University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Songwriting. She released her sophomore album, Harbinger, in 2016 and has a couple of tunes in the works for release later this year. When she’s not writing songs or serenading audiences with SONUS, Natalie is spending time with her bustling 2-year-old son, supportive husband, and their two old cats in East Nashville.
Moira Mitchell
Soprano 2
Moira graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Music Theory & Composition from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2021. She has taught music in the public school system as well as privately. She currently works for the Nashville Soccer Club and gives voice and piano lessons through Adonai Arts Academy. Moira has been singing with SONUS since the fall of 2022 and is also a part of Mitchell House Music, her family’s music group. Classical music is her favorite style to perform and R&B is her favorite to listen to! In her free time, she also practices yoga and meditation.
Timbre Cierpke
Co-Founder & Music Director | Soprano 2
Timbre Cierpke is the Music Director and Co-founder of SONUS, and has led rehearsals for the choir since its inception. As a harpist, vocalist, composer, conductor, and songwriter, she has created a following in both classical and popular music. Timbre has recorded and performed with notable artists such as Jack White, Tom Jones, Ricky Skaggs, Lauren Daigle, as well as rock bands like mewithoutYou and the Chariot, racking up over 80 albums credits so far.
As a harpist, she has performed all over the world, including performing her own compositions with full orchestra in cathedrals throughout Scandinavia. She has played harp with the London Symphony Orchestra, and is currently the principal harpist for the Jackson Symphony Orchestra. As a vocalist, Timbre has performed in cathedrals throughout Europe, as well as singing in a premiere of Eric Whitacre’s “City and the Sea” at Carnegie Hall. Timbre also tours as an artist with her neoclassical folk-rock band. Her album Sun & Moon was chosen by UNESCO as one of the most important albums of the 2010’s.
